The God That Fails (And The God That Doesn't)

David Brooks:

I thought this was really unusual. David Brooks, a columnist for the New York Times wrote an article about America's misplaced trust in technology and the government to stop terrorism.

Many people seem to be in the middle of a religious crisis of faith. All the gods they believe in — technology, technocracy, centralized government control — have failed them.

Brooks doesn't mention the one true God that will never disappoint or fail to protect.
